What Is Multi-Compressor Refrigeration System?

  • Glen Refrigeration’s Multi-Compressor Refrigeration System is a system that connects two scroll refrigeration compressors in parallel, by sharing one condenser, one oil separator, one liquid receiver, and one accumulator. We have two series, one is Inverter series, the other is non-inverter series.
  • The Inverter Parallel Compressor System adopts one INVERTER Panasonic scroll compressor and one FIXED SPEED Panasonic scroll compressor.
  • The Non-inverter Parallel Compressor System adopts two FIXED SPEED Panasonic scroll compressors or two FIXED SPEED Emerson scroll compressors.
  • In parallel mode, the two compressors can run simultaneously or separately. The system adjusts the number of compressors on/off to match the different refrigeration load, thereby achieving the system’s energy efficiency. The advantages of parallel system are its high stability, low failure rate, and economical energy saving. It is widely used in different industries such as commercial refrigeration, food processing plants, refrigerated warehouses and producing areas, conveniences stores, food retail refrigeration, cold storage rooms and freezer rooms. Multi-compressor Refrigeration System Work Principle

  • Glen Refrigeration’s multi-compressor refrigeration system adopts one VARIABLE SPEED Panasonic scroll compressor and one FIXED SPEED Panasonic scroll compressor.
  • When power on, the variable speed refrigeration compressor starts working firstly, when it runs at highest speed for 5 minutes, the fixed speed refrigeration compressor starts working.
  • When the variable speed refrigeration compressor works at lowest speed for 5 minutes, the fixed speed refrigeration compressor stops working.
  • If the variable speed refrigeration compressor has a fault or unable to start, the fixed speed compressor will start working directly.
  • When the variable speed compressor troubleshoots, the fixed speed compressor will be turned off and the variable speed compressor will start working.
  • The variable speed refrigeration compressor plays the main role in parallel rack system refrigeration, that’s why the it consumes 30% less energy at the same cooling capacity compared with single compressor refrigeration system.
